Admissions and Auditions
There are a few steps that need to be completed for admission into Southern Illinois University, and the School of Music. The requirements are different for Undergraduate and Gradute students. Follow the links in the "Quick Links" box to your course of study.
The School of Music requires all Prospective Students to audition as part of their admission requirements.
The Audition Dates for the upcoming school year have been announced:

Feb. 18, 2013
All audition dates are for incoming students and transfer students. All auditions are held at Altgeld Hall on the SIU campus.
For music scholarship eligibility, students must audition by Feb.18, 2013. Academic scholarships that are awarded by Financial Aid are given on a first-come basis, so early application and admission is strongly advised. For information on university academic scholarships go to www.scholarships.siu.edu.
