Outside The Box presents SIU Emerging Artists, an evening of all-new compositions by SIU student composers and digital sound artists.

Eric Mandat and the SIU Clarinet Studio present a concert of new sounds, featuring works by Mandat and Marc Mellits.

Join us for an immersive evening of technology-inspired music and image featuring two Chicago-based intermedia artists. Composer and sound designer Stephan Moore will be joined by digital animator Paul Hertz, designer of PixelAudio interactive sound and image software.

Please welcome Outside The Box 2026 featured guest composer Eric Moe. His music will performed by SIU School of Music faculty Altgeld Chamber Players featuring Christopher Butler, percussion, David Dillard, voice, Anthony Gray, piano, Yuko Kato, piano and Eric Mandat, clarinet. SIU School of Music Director and saxophone professor Richard Kelley will also perform along with Mandat on his jazz-inspired Out of This World (2022) for clarinet and alto saxophone.
